A dreadful month, to be sure. But then a lot of them have been that way lately. I'm starting to think it would be better for my state of mind if I just call this "the normal state of affairs." That way I'll be happy and grateful every time my truck starts, or my apartment doesn't go up in flames, or I don't drop dead of a stress-induced heart attack.
