[Nature is neither kind nor cruel but indifferent]
This image from Salon and all its blasphemy cracks me up.
It's the art for an interview with the posterboy for atheism, Richard Dawkins. I don't share his feeling that agnosticism is a weak stance, and I don't buy that just because there's no evidence for a god means that there's no god, but I thought he said something interesting and poignant nonetheless:
"An astronomically overwhelming majority of the people who could be born never will be. You are one of the tiny minority whose number came up. Be thankful that you have a life, and forsake your vain and presumptuous desire for a second one."
