Day 288 — Dying
[for Monday, Oct. 15]
According to my mom, I planted this tree when I was a kid. It was some kind of 4-H or Arbor Day assignment. But the combination of this spring's cold snap plus the recent drought have proven too much for it to handle. So it's dying.
I don't really remember planting this tree, but I feel compelled to plant three or four more trees in its memory.

Oh. That's so heartbreaking. Damn global warming. I blame this on the Republicans. Damn them.
Shit. I was going to leave a playful, "Aw! And then hug them." But because Fritz is actually being supportive I decided not to.
