I did a double take at that, too. I imagine that if something in the weasel family can get it, it could be spread to other family members. So it is a distant possiblity, I guess.

I have no idea if that's true and I didn't read the story — just the teaser — but I'm going to be sure not to let the ferrets associate with any dead birds at the park.
