Birthdays and graduations and anniversaries, oh my
Wendy has gone and had herself a birthday today. She's a little freaked out by the prospect of being 23, but I can reassure her that there ain't much to it. Same as 22, likely the same as 24.
And, I want to wish Brandon and Matt and all the other winter graduates congratulations on their emancipation from the shackles of homework and activity fees and final exams. Welcome to the very real oppression of freedom from all that crap. May your bank accounts fatten along with your adult asses. Amen.
Tomorrow is my mom and dad's anniversary. I believe this makes 26 years. They were going to have a big Civil War-themed ceremony last year in which they rededicated their vows in period costume. But since I was graduating and there was so much other crap going on around Christmas, they decided to postpone it and do it some other year. This year, apparently, didn't make the cut. Maybe next year.
Also, Cox took the job at the Lebanon paper and Kristin got her badge reading "Newswoman" from the AP.
So happies and congratulations all around, then.
