Day 57 — Burke's
They're moving soon, so I figured I'd best walk myself down there at least once before they were gone.
And I couldn't have picked a more beautiful afternoon than today's, when the sun was out but there wasn't a prick of humidity, and the birds were singing and church choirs lined the streets and money fell from the sky ... okay, it wasn't that great, but it was a nice, brisk walk and I came away with this and this (for my dad's birthday) so I think the whole day can be considered victorious.

Wow, they're moving closer to my part of town tho - cool! When I read that they were moving, I was expecting the now-patented eastward (really eastward) move.
Any idea what's going into the old building?
holy bookmark, Burkes is moving???
They are iconic-Memphis imo. Glad to hear they are moving to Cooper-Young.
I'd hate to hear of an impending move to Collierville, lol.

Make sure you don't mix those up...
The deleted comment is mine. It used my real name and I wish to remain anonymous. Like Batman.
Okay. Truth is, I don't want anyone to know we're friends. You smell nice and don't fit in with my dream of having only stinky friends. Sorry.
Lynnster, I had a dream about you last night. I'll post about it soon on Nocturnal Admissions.
I'm not sure what the plans are for the old building at this point.
And I'm glad they're still staying relatively close, too. Though it is weird that they were really close to going broke a mere year ago and now are moving to what looks to me to be more expensive real estate. But I have no idea about how much rent either location charges.
PP, you have clearly never smelled me in the morning. After I've spent the night wallowing in my filthy sheets.
Okay, I still smell pretty good even then.
Ha! I just read it, that's hilarious! Like I said, I wonder if you'll have more dreams about me after we have lunch or dinner together, hehehe.
Must be a lot of that blogger dreaming about bloggers going around, my dream about Knuck being my attorney the other day was pretty funny. I wish I could remember who it was in the background during the dream telling me not to listen to him, he was giving me bad legal advice! :)
