Coolest souvenir ever?
I missed the David Sedaris reading in town tonight. Bummer. I've been trying to catch a reading now for at least two years, to no avail. The good news is, he will probably have a new book out soon and then I can try again for another year.
Anyway, Stacy Greenberg of "Fertile Ground" and "Dining With Monkeys" was at the reading and snagged Sedaris' cup and bottled water. And she got the cup autographed.

I loaned my autographed copy of Dress Your Family to my mom, who proceeded in losing it. It was the one where Mr. Sedaris wrote that I looked sick and should take some Tylenol. And how I miss it so.
That's just how Stacey is. Everytime we go out she takes our glasses off the table and makes us sign them. It's quite disgusting. Had I agreed to be her date, I'm sure she would have left with my water bottle or gum wrapper or something.
Fritz, you definitely have one of the best Sedaris stories I've ever heard. I oughta punch your mom in the muff for losing that book!
